What did we do?
We, the Green Revolution Team, took action in our community by visiting a local elementary school and teaching the 4th and 5th graders. We taught them what global warming and greenhouse gases are, the effects of global warming, and how to be green. We tested their knowledge by giving them a before and after quiz. In the beginning, 0% of the students knew about greenhouse gases, and only 52% had ever heard of global warming.The students soaked up the information that we gave them like a sponge, and on the quizzes at the end of all our classes they did incredibly well! We had many more 100% then we thought we would, especially considering that when we walked into their room, few had ever heard the term "going green", and none of them knew anything about how they could have a greener lifestyle, according to the quizzes they took in the beginning. We think our team made a difference and believe that the students will take it to the next level by sharing the information and this website to family members and friends. We would now like to announce and congratulate those who who got perfect scores as well as honerable mentions (only missed one question). All the other students passed the quiz, and many were just a question away from being added to this page. Thank you to all the students and teachers that took the time out of their day to listen to us!
